QPMC and Rent-A-Port Belgium sign the BMHS operational contract in the presence of H.E. Sheikh Khalifa Bin Jassim Al-Thani, Qatar Chamber Chairman and the Belgian Ambassador to Qatar H.E. Christophe Payot.

QPMC launched the BMHS, with the full support of Qatar Chamber.

The Qatar Primary Materials Company (QPMC) Chief Executive Officer, Eisa Al-Hammadi underlined the support of Qatar Chamber stating that the BMHS is “a national vision realized after three years of hard and diligent work”.

 

QPMC and Rent-A-Port Belgium held on Monday at the  Fourseasons Hotel - Doha, an unveiling ceremony aimed at announcing the BMHS operational strategy under  the full support of Qatar Chamber and has simultaneously signed a contract with the BMHS operational award recipient “Rent-A-Port” in the presence of H.E. Sheikh Khalifa Bin Jassim Al-Thani, Qatar Chamber Chairman and the Belgian Ambassador to Qatar H.E. Christophe Payot.

Speech of Engineer Al-Hammadi, QPMC CEO

In his speech, Engineer Eisa Al-Hammadi, QPMC CEO gave a speech in which he stated that “the BMHS is a national vision realized by QPMC after three years of consecutive and diligent work, so let us make a quantum leap and reach the national and noble goals of our company which are in full alignment with the national vision for sustainability and development”.

“ On the other hand, the national values that we have in common with Qatar Chamber are based on three fundamental objectives: first, supporting the national economy in all its sectors and facilities, second, engaging the private sector to work more under the umbrella of the Chamber. The third noble objective that the BMHS aims at is promoting the continuity of work on the path of sustainable development plan in order to realize the vision of Qatar 2030 in all its noble meaning”, added Al-Hammadi.

He added: “the participation of the private sector in providing the high-quality primary materials, increasing its storage space, reducing the time period the ships and battleships need for unloading, and protecting the public transportation network, are all factors that represent the economic growth, just like putting the environmental conditions, public safety, and the traffic facilitation in the streets on our social and human goals top list”.

Speech of “Rent-A-Port”

In his speech, Mr. Marcel van Bouwel, General Manager of “Rent-A-Port” Belgium, expressed his gratitude to QPMC for giving it full trust to run the BMHS stating the following: “we are pleased to have been appointed the operator for  Qatar’s BMHS, this is a great accomplishment for Qatar on many international levels and nationally her e in Qatar it enables us as Rent-A-Port to partake in the urban growth that Qatar is witnessing today”.

Mr. Marcel van Bouwel concluded his speech by emphasizing on the BMHS importance in “pushing and accelerating the construction operations on good basis, and its ability to provide a lot of effort in an efficient and timely manner”.

Explanation of the BMHS operational strategy

QPMC’s Director of Operations, Mr. Ahmad Al-Suwaidi presented an illustrated explanation  of the BMHS, and clarified its impact on the public and private sectors, the infrastructure construction, and, generally, the construction sector, by improving the flow of the primary materials and responding to the market demand.

In addition, he shed light on the positive impact of the BMHS on the environment through the dust control set, the dust extraction filters at world’s best practice and the reduction of 78% to the current emissions. At the end, he stressed on the BMHS impact on the public safety through the development of the work environment conditions, the road safety and the transportation network in general.
